Everest Base Camp Hike In Luxury

On the day of your arrival, you will meet our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport, right after the immigration. Never forget to see your name sign. After that, you will be driving to your hotel in a comfortable vehicle with air conditioning. 

If you arrive in the day or the morning, either at lunch or dinner, you will get to meet the primary member of the organization. He/she will once again welcome you with lunch or dinner, and then give you a proper trip briefing. Bringing the excitement of the trek, the same day you will be provided with the gears as mentioned in the cost inclusion. However, if you arrive at night then, you can rest for the night at your hotel, and then the next morning during breakfast, the same method as mentioned above will be performed.

This is the day to take you around Kathmandu City, a city full of temples. You will visit Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, and the Monkey Temple. The city tour will be accompanied by an expert tour guide. You will get a private car or vehicle depending on your group. 

After the city tour, you can then be involved in packing your stuff for the hike.

Today, the actual day begins. You will first meet your guide this day if you have not yet. After breakfast at your hotel, you will be dropped off at Tribhuvan International Airport. From here, you will fly to Lukla in a helicopter. After reaching Lukla itself, you will know how the trail lies ahead. In Lukla, you will meet your porter who is going to carry your excess luggage throughout the trip until Gorakshep.

From Lukla, you will enter the Khumbu region. Today’s hike is easy and downhill most of the time reaching the alpine forests in Phakding. The total hike will take around 3-4 hrs. depending upon your pace. You will walk alongside the Dudhkoshi River and cross through many suspension bridges, which is an adventure in itself. Passing by remember to always give way to the Animals passing by. 

Seeing the local villages like Chheplung and Ghat, you will see a little glimpse of Sherpa Lifestyles. Alongside the Mani Walls, Chhortens, Maane, and many more Buddhism-related structures will greet you.

With all these covered, you reach Phakding and rest for the day or enroll in a short village tour around.

Today, waking up to the sound of the Dudhkoshi River, your day starts. You will have breakfast at the hotel and start heading toward Namche Bazaar. The hike is pretty long due to the distance as well as many photogenic places. 

First, you will pass by the village of Monjo, which is the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. As your guide does the entry of your names, you head toward Jorsalle. Jorsalle is usually the lunch place for the day. On this day as well you will cross through uncountable suspension bridges finally reaching Larcha Dovan.

In Larcha Dovan the Hillary Suspension bridge lies. Crossing the Hillary Suspension, you will now enter the Namche region. The uphill trail now takes you to a water spot named Topdanda. Resting for around 10-15 mins there you again start hiking. Around 45 minutes walk from Topdanda you finally see the first glimpse of Mount Everest. After 15-20 mins of hiking, you finally reach the destination of the day, Namche Bazaar.

After checking in at the hotel, you can start exploring the Sherpa Market.

Today is almost like a free day. This is because, after your breakfast at the hotel in Namche, you will head toward Hotel Everest View; which is around a 1-hour walk. From Hotel Everest View as well you can see one of the best views of Mount Everest alongside other ranges. 

On the way back to Namche, you can get to the world’s highest airstrip named Syangboche Airstrip. You can also see some parts of Khumjung village nearby. While coming down you can go to the Sagarmatha National Park Museum, which includes the Sherpa artifacts and carries histories of the region.

The rest day is free to let you help your body adapt to the altitude. So, resting and meeting the locals again in the evening is the best way to pass the day.

The tough hike starts again today. You have a whole downhill and uphill to do this day. So, you start early after the breakfast. Passing through Kyangjuma and Phunki Thanga ends the steep downhill of the day. You will also be walking alongside Mt. Ama Dablam to your right. After that, you will cross one last suspension bridge in Phunki Thanga which marks the end of the Dudhkoshi River along your trail. Then, you start heading towards Tyangboche Monastery which is around 2-3 hrs. Uphill. 

Reaching Tyangboche finally gives you a picturesque view of the Eastern Himalayas. From here you can see the best view of the Mahalangur Range. You will also visit the Tyangboche Monastery and have an idea of Tibetan Buddhism’s influence in Khumbu.

Many people also choose to stay in Tyangboche for the view. But as we intend to take you to the Base Camp of Everest, we take you downhill Tyangboche for 20 minutes where lies Debuche. Debuche has enough trees and a better altitude so that your body remains acclimatized.

This day you take your hike one step further by leaving the tree line behind. A few hours of walk from Debuche after breakfast you reach the village called Pangboche. This is the last tree line of the region. 

Crossing via Syomare for lunch, you will then head toward Dingboche alongside the Tundra region. You can spot now the Himalayan Birds, Himalayan Tahrs, and Yaks alongside. The walk will now be more dry, so carry enough water with electrolytes so that you can easily get hydrated and avoid altitude sickness.

The 4-5 hours walk this day will finally take you to Dingboche; a Sherpa village nestled at the bank of the Imja Tse River.

This day is short, too but tough. Tough because you will be hiking to an altitude above 5,100 meters to acclimatize in Nangkartshang hill. You can easily start the hike after breakfast and get back to the hotel by lunchtime. After lunch, again you will travel around the village to meet the locals.

Today is a pretty short day. You start walking toward Thukla village after breakfast. Leaving Imja Tse behind, you will now hike alongside the hill of Khumbu river coming right from the Khumbu Glacier of Khumbu Icefall. 

The hike will take you to an uphill of Thukla Memorial in Thukla Pass. You can pay your grievance and tribute to the dead here. The memorial is made for the souls of the dead climbers who did the Everest Summit but never went back home and rested in the mountains. You will be seeing so many famous mountaineers’ tributed structures here.

Around an hour's walk from the Memorial, you will finally reach Lobuche. Lobuche is a small base camp from where the climbers start their journey to the Lobuche East Peak (6,019 meters) climb.

This is the day for which you were making such a great effort. Appreciating yourself, your guide, and your Sherpa, you will start the day early toward Gorakshep.

Around 30 mins ahead lies the Weather Pyramid which is a weather station for the Everest region. Passing by the high hills you keep on gradually walking. The 2-3 hrs. hike finally takes you to the last living village of Everest, Gorakshep.

After having lunch at Gorakshep then you head toward the Base Camp. The Base Camp is around 1-2 hrs. away from here. Thus, do not hurry to see the place which might lead to bad incidents.

After reaching base camp, your overall intention will be almost completed. Taking tonnes of pictures at the base camp, you will finally return to Gorakshep for the night stay.

Today, you celebrate the great success you achieved walking for 8 continuous days and fulfilling your dream.

Today at around 3-4 AM, you start hiking toward Kalapatthar. Keep yourself warm as the temperature in Kalapatthar reaches below -20 degrees. When you observe the sunrise over Everest, that is going to be your other big achievement. 

After the sunrise, you head toward Gorakshep. After breakfast there, you will wait for the helicopter to pick you up. Once, the helicopter gets in Gorakshep, you hop on it and get back to Kathmandu.

From the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will again be picked up by a comfortable car and then brought back to the hotel. Rest for the day, and then you can enjoy the free day today. In the evening, again our primary members will meet you back to share your experiences, have dinner together, and bid a good farewell to you.

It is always hard to say goodbye, but we will have to. Our representative will again be there to pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport. We will bid you a good farewell. Until next time.
