Annapurna Circuit Hike in Comfort is the challenge that many trekking enthusiasts should be doing. Challenge because you will reach the altitude of 5,416 meters in Thorong La Pass. Apart from the challenge, this hiking trail is a visual feast for every mountain lover.

Your trip itself starts with the peaks visualization of Mount Manaslu and Annapurna Massif from Dharapani. Further, you move toward the Manang region, the views are extraordinary making you stare at them throughout the time.

The total comfortable hike of Annapurna Circuit is 200 kilometers on average. This distance also turns ups and downs depending on where the drive takes you up to. Sometimes in monsoon, you might not even reach Dharapani to start the journey. This will increase the length by around 60 kilometers more.

A total of 7 days of hike and 1-2 days of driving completes the Annapurna Circuit Hike in comfort. As you are coming for a challenge, always try to adapt to the changes in the mountains as nothing can be sure of.

What does comfort and accommodation look like in Annapurna Circuit Hike?

Annapurna Circuit has reduced its trip distance. One reason is the road availability. Until you reach Manang, the hiking trails have been almost damaged. So trekkers will be walking on the main road as well for the first few days. More to that, the later hike which takes you to Muktinath is also similar to the road reaching the destination. So primarily, half of the local villages are covered by drive itself nowadays. Apart from that you need to walk for two days to reach Manang. This is due to the high altitude.

Talking about the comfort, it lies in the lodges we provide. You will get lodges with private bathrooms at most of the places. Apart from that, your stay in cities will be more comfortable with the stay at 5-star hotels. Similarly, hikers go in a public vehicle up to Jagat and then start the hike ahead. In case of comfort drive, we provide a private 4WD Jeep to take you to Dharapani and then start the walk.

Beyond the stay, the activities you are involved in during the whole journey are what makes this tour different. Living among the locals, immersing in their daily lifestyle apart from the hikes makes the hikers forget the tough journey.

Not just that, the hospitality you would get from the diversified community of the circuit delves into a luxury that one never forgets. This part of this whole journey keeps you apart from the regular hikers and makes you feel at home.

The Route We Follow

Our trekking route is similar to the regular trail, but one day ahead. This is what your hike will look like:

Essential Tips

Permits Required for Annapurna Circuit Trek

There is only one permit required for this particular hike; Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). The ACAP costs $30 per person and can be easily obtained in Kathmandu. The agency will have it ready before you depart from the trek.

Many travelers are also confused about this permit paid in the Visa Fee while entering Nepal. However, the conservation areas of Nepal need separate permits for foreigners to hike or travel inside.

Food availability in the Circuit Trek of Annapurna

Annapurna region being one of the oldest hiking routes has almost all kinds of food available for tourists. Even though it is one of the less production harvesting regions of the country, with the reach of vehicles until Manang and even the further parts of the hiking, proper western to Nepali food can be found. However, being in the mountains, you will not be able to find the seafood.

Avoiding Altitude Sickness during the hike

Thorong La Pass is one of the highest passes in Nepal to hike through. Thus, it is a concerning case of altitude sickness.

Primarily, our best suggestion is to prepare for the hike through endurance building and mentally prepared before starting the hike. Apart from that, you can also consume Diamox to help you acclimatize. Diamox is not the medicine that prevents you from getting altitude sickness, though.

The major thing to avoid altitude sickness is listening to your guide. They are the mountain experts, so hearing what they say and following their footsteps saves more than 98% of hikers from sickness.
