The Luxury Annapurna Base Camp Hike is an iconic trek through the Gurung Localities in the Myagdi region of Nepal. The destination takes you to the base camp of Annapurna Massif. Primarily hiking for 6 Days and the rest of the days spent more relaxed and luxuriously, this trip gives you the best experience in Annapurna.

Annapurna I itself is the oldest mountain above 8,000 meters regarding climbs, thus this walking expedition takes you through the history of the region. However, the region has not yet got the luxury accommodations. Yet pre-booked guest houses with the amenities found in the region are what makes this journey unique.

Passing through the Annapurna Conservation Area from the beginning of the trek till the end allows you to get into Nepal’s first Conservation Area. More than that, in this region, you can spot exotic animals like the Red Panda. Always be aware that these endangered species are the ones to be preserved not poached. So, the suggestion is to let them live in their own space without hindrance.

Regarding the locals, the Annapurna region is abundantly covered by the Gurung and Magar Communities of Western Nepal. You will get to observe their farming style in the steep method. Similarly, the hard-living these locals do in the absence of vehicle reach shows the condition of remote Nepal.

Beyond the hard lifestyle, you will always see the hospitable and smiling faces of children to the elderly throughout the trek. So, remember to smile back at them and befriend them.

What is it like to Hike to Annapurna Base Camp in Luxury?

The term luxury in this region does not mean luxury accommodation. Moreover, it signifies your hiking comfort, views, and laid-back itinerary.

The actual Trek can be easily covered in 4-5 days. However, increasing the length of the walk makes it more comfortable with shorter walks. Additionally, more involvement in village activities makes this trip package unique.

More to that, our trips are always activities focused. This includes involving yourself in the local lifestyle, grinding the grains with local machines, eating with the locals, sharing stories, and more. This difference always creates comfort in the trekking to the destination.

The route we follow

The route we follow is more laidback and easier to walk on. We take you not directly to the Base Camp as we intend to provide you with Lifetime Experiences. The itinerary starts from Pokhara that takes you via Poon Hill. Getting to Poon Hill View Point already gives you a glimpse of where exactly you are heading. Following is the route:

Day 1: Fly to Pokhara, Drive to Ulleri, and Trek to Ghorepani Village

Day 2: Morning Hike to Poon Hill and trek down to Tadapani

Day 3: Trek to Sinhuwa via Chhomrong

Day 4: Trek to Deurali

Day 5: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp

Day 6: Fly to Pokhara

Accommodation during the Luxury Annapurna Base Camp Hike that You will get

Additionally, the farming constantly going on in the region, the availability of fresh vegetables and fruits is abundant. More to that, the food availability also includes Western foods. Feel free to choose your food from the available menu at the guest houses you stay at and you are good to go.

This hiking trail has proper electricity availability. However, you might not find the power outlets inside your rooms for charging your devices the more you go higher. Yet you can easily charge your devices at the hotel reception where most of the power outlets are located.

Though, the wi-fi is found almost everywhere in the guesthouses. With times changing though, some of the hotels have started charging a fee for using wi-fi as well.

So, the suggestion is to carry extra cash for charging multiple devices. However, for using the wi-fi as well as charging your devices up to 2, the agency pays for it.
